Four Alphas were squatting outside the lounge. They were tall, youthful, and brimming with arrogance, very much like the spoiled rich brats from the previous world, exuding that particular brand of overbearing, trashy masculinity.
Only the one in the lead looked older and comparatively gentler. Beneath his short red hair was a pair of fox-like, smiling eyes. As he strolled over unhurriedly, he casually toyed with the bottle of heat-inducing spray in his hand.
Lu Chi recalled the note in his pending tasks: [avoid the bullying Alphas]. He immediately had a rough idea of their identities, likely some of the privileged Alpha/Omega elites who had bullied the original Lu Chi and maliciously signed him up for the combat tournament.
However, he said nothing, and the group of Alphas didn’t mind either. Laughing and joking crudely, they swaggered over.
The red-haired Alpha openly shook the bottle in his hand, smiling as if he were being kind, asking, “Lu Chi, how about we try something different today?”
Lu Chi lifted a brow. His overly long bangs shadowed his eyes, revealing a sharp, elegant nose bridge. “Something different?” he quietly asked, but his voice was cool and smooth like jade, slightly different from his previous silence.
For some reason, Luo Zexu felt that something about him had changed. He seemed to carry a faint… laziness, like someone just finished with something. The freshman named Lu Chi had only enrolled a month ago. His silver-white hair covered his brows and eyes, but even those awful clothes couldn’t hide how beautiful his figure was.
He always kept his head down in silence, obediently enduring everyone’s bullying. Yet that very submissiveness stirred something violent in others. He was just an ordinary Beta, but for some reason, both Alphas and Omegas felt an urge to bully him.
Luo Zexu had watched for a month. The more he watched, the itchier he felt. And the more he watched, the more he wanted to try playing with him himself.
So tonight, taking advantage of the break in the combat tournament, he appeared here.
The man’s casual gaze gleamed with interest. After a moment, he leaned closer and whispered, “Yes… I guarantee it’ll be different from before. You’ll feel amazing.”
“…”
Why did everyone want him to “feel amazing”?!
Lu Chi smiled but said nothing, listening to the Alphas burst into loud laughter.
“Professor Luo, you think he even understands what ‘amazing’ means? Betas don’t even have properly developed glands. He probably hasn’t felt anything his whole life, hahaha!”
“Not necessarily. He never resists. If he cries and screams while Professor Luo plays with him tonight, wouldn’t that be exciting?”
“This stuff can put an Alpha into heat, but at most it’ll just make a Beta feverish. Tsk tsk. After we spray him, he’ll probably just kneel and beg us to let him go. Boring!”
Professor Luo?
Lu Chi paused, recalling the task note: [Go to the lounge and request the mentor to remove the mistakenly submitted tournament registration].
The system shrieked nervously in his head: [What do we do?! Four Alphas! Baby, run! The floating island has patrol mechanical eyes! Private fights are strictly forbidden during the tournament. Report them to the academy!]
[What’s there to panic about?] Lu Chi said. [It’s just four.]
Aside from the useless gland added to the back of his neck, this body was identical to his own at nineteen, young and full of vitality. Calmly cracking his knuckles, Lu Chi glanced around before making a move.
Thinking he was panicking, the red-haired Alpha chuckled. “Stop looking,” he said. “The mechanical eyes don’t patrol D District, and they certainly won’t issue warnings for a Beta. Lu Chi, you’re a smart person. You don’t want to suffer too much, right?”
In that interstellar cyber era, the existence of Betas seemed even more insignificant than he’d imagined. And yet, Lu Chi smiled faintly and met the Alpha’s gaze, asking, “Professor?”
The other man hummed in acknowledgment and reached out to grab Lu Chi’s hand with satisfaction. “Your teacher’s right here. Shall we go inside? Didn’t you say you wanted to withdraw from the competition? I can make the decision, as long as you act like my dog…”
Before he finished…
Lu Chi’s expression didn’t change. He suddenly grabbed the man’s hair, bent his knee, and drove it upward viciously.
A crisp crack of bone breaking sounded.
The red-haired Alpha clearly wasn’t good at fighting. He lacked the savage physical instinct Lin Jingsi had, so his jaw shattered instantly under Lu Chi’s blow. Caught off guard, he groaned, blood spraying from his nose as he tried to grab him.
“Lu Chi!!”
Lu Chi acted as if he hadn’t heard. Swiftly pressing down on the man’s head, he delivered several hard kicks to his abdomen, so forceful that the man couldn’t fight back and collapsed limply onto the ground like a corpse.
Blood quickly spread across the floor, and Lu Chi picked up the Beta-targeted heat spray. His expression was calm as he forcibly shoved it into the red-haired Alpha’s mouth and sprayed.
Everything happened within mere seconds. By the time the other Alphas snapped out of their stunned rigidity, the previously refined Professor Luo was now sprawled on the ground like an animal in heat, his eyes bloodshot, writhing in an extremely indecent manner.
The inhibitor collar around his neck had slipped off, releasing its scent.
“!!!”
The other Alphas recoiled in shock, staring at Lu Chi as if he were a monster. “Lu Chi, are you insane?!” they shouted, “Luo Zexu is from the Luo family! How dare you…!”
Lu Chi lifted his gaze and narrowed his eyes at them.
“Afraid?”
It was more than fear. Those once arrogant playboys were now pale as ghosts, as though death itself had come for them.
At the same time, the system suddenly jolted upright in alarm: [Luo Zexu?! Host, Luo Zexu, is the Second Male Lead in this world!]
[He’s twenty-five, from the Luo family of the Federal Academy of Sciences. His character setting is that tonight he falls in love at first sight with the Main Shou during a chance encounter, and from then on becomes the silent…]
Reaching this point, the poor system hurled the original novel aside and screamed furiously: [What kind of “gentle Second Male Lead” tries to drug and assault my Baby the moment he appears?! The plot is lying again! He’s just trash!]
Lu Chi smiled and soothed it with a few casual words, watching as the remaining Alphas didn’t even bother finishing their threats before hurriedly fleeing. Before leaving, they took out a silver, agile, spherical floating device and erased all their scent and traces. Only after confirming that nothing was left behind did they turn and run without looking back.
Lu Chi narrowed his eyes, sensing something off in their attitude. At his feet, Luo Zexu, still retaining a shred of clarity, let out a muffled groan. As he writhed, he stared at Lu Chi with none of his earlier gentleness, his eyes blood-red and vicious.
“Lu Chi, when the academy hands you over to the Luo family,” he wheezed, “I’ll strip you naked in the lounge and invite everyone to have a turn!”
Luo Zexu had never been so humiliated in his life.
When he regained his senses, he would toy with this audacious Beta to death!
“Oh?” Lu Chi raised a brow.
From above, the boy finally revealed his dark eyes. The upturned, cool corners were like flower petals, and under the neon lights, he was so beautiful that Luo Zexu froze for a moment.
[Host, I just checked the plot!] The system was frantic in his mind. [The class hierarchy in this world is extremely severe! We’re from an orphanage, and we’re a Beta, anyone can crush us!]
[The Second Male Lead’s family conducts research for the Federation! Their status is extremely high! Even the families of the Main Shou and the Protagonist don’t dare treat them lightly! Your biological data is stored in the Federal database. If he tells his family to seize you, they won’t even need permission! They can directly invade your residence!]
Lu Chi gave a quiet hum, his expression unchanged.
The area was very quiet. Luo Zexu had made arrangements beforehand, so no mechanical patrols passed by.
The entire floating island was bathed in blue-violet neon. Night here was even more extravagant and bustling than daytime. In the S-Class battle zone, lounges were designed like floating islets, with giant billboards and holographic projections everywhere. Shuttle stops were densely spaced, with countless docking ports for hovercrafts, technology embedded into every corner.
But in the D-Class battle zone, the lounge resembled a honeycomb structure, densely and neatly arranged. Messy small advertisements hung on the walls, and there was only a single shuttle stop by the roadside, its facilities old and poorly maintained.
The place was terribly outdated. Under highly advanced technology, the sense of class division was even more glaring.
Luo Zexu snapped back to himself under Lu Chi’s gaze and suddenly laughed, panting awkwardly. “Lu Chi, you’re really beautiful… I’ve changed my mind.”
“In at most twenty minutes, those Alphas will notify the academy and the Luo family. You’re a fourth-class citizen. The academy will expel you for assaulting an A-Class Alpha professor and hand you over to the Luo family.”
“When that happens, I’ll feed you stronger drugs. I’ll make you strip and crawl on the floor too, crying and begging like a cheap dog, rubbing against my hand.”
Hearing his disgusting words, Lu Chi lowered his eyes. After a moment, he suddenly stepped on Luo Zexu’s face, grinding lightly with a faint laugh, asking, “What did you say?”
The pampered side of his face was trampled without dignity. Enraged, Luo Zexu tried to grab him, but Lu Chi kicked him over without mercy. He grabbed him, slapped him across the face, then stepped on him again, slowly, forcefully grinding the sole of his shoe into his skin.
All the while, his fingers operated his terminal, recording everything.
“Lu! Chi!”
Another kick. After a moment, Lu Chi said calmly, “Shut up. Face the camera and say you’re a dog in heat.”
“……”
Silence filled the air.
Pressing down on the red-haired Alpha’s head, Lu Chi tilted his own slightly, asking, “Won’t say it?”
Luo Zexu’s face was livid, his fox-like eyes wide. Hoarsely, he spat, “Are you insane?! You think this will let you esca… mmph!”
Lu Chi picked up the spray again and, expressionless, forced it into his mouth for an extra dose. The scent of Alpha pheromones, strong as hard liquor, suddenly thickened in the air.
Nearly delirious, Luo Zexu was forced to speak under Lu Chi’s foot, as Lu Chi occasionally lowered his gaze to observe his reaction. Staring into his eyes, the red-haired Alpha writhed for a long moment before hoarsely muttering, “I… I’m a dog in heat… Lu Chi!”
Lu Chi aimed the camera at his entire body, and Luo Zexu’s muscles suddenly tensed. A moment later, Lu Chi kicked him straight in the groin.
Through a nearly distorted gaze, the boy calmly put away his terminal. Looking at his disgusting appearance, he lowered his eyes and commented, “Cheap dog.”
Luo Zexu’s breathing hitched. Along with an unprecedented surge of humiliation, a sharp ringing filled his ears.
…He reacted to that.
……………………
At the same time.
On countless holographic screens, a massive gray-silver mecha charged into the simulated battlefield, killing intent almost piercing through the display.
The audience’s cheers shook the sky, and the commentator grew so excited he lost composure, shouting: “Unbelievable! Student Lin Jingsi has cleared the entire field within twenty minutes!”
“This is an unprecedented record in the history of the Federal Academy! This means that Student Lin, an S-class Alpha, already possesses the ability to defeat even the AI’s calculations!”
Inside the cockpit, having regained his sight after an injection, Lin Jingsi lifted his eyes and coldly ordered, “Search all surveillance from the S battle zone from half an hour ago. Focus on a silver-haired Beta. Track his movements.”
“Physical traits: brown eyes, red lips, cool pale skin, one meter eighty-three.”
In less than a second, the AI’s gentle voice sounded in his earpiece: [Target located. The target is currently outside Rest Area s-77 in D Zone. There is also an A-class Alpha present.]
[Target’s pheromone levels are fluctuating abnormally. Suspected forced heat. Proceed to the destination for rescue?]
Lin Jingsi’s pupils contracted.
The next second…
“Student Lin?!”
The gray-silver mecha hovering midair abruptly turned. Ignoring the stunned commentator and audience, its owner shot off in another direction at an unbelievable speed, without warning.
………………………
Outside the D Zone rest area.
Watching the screen, Lu Chi raised a brow. He then pulled another heat-inducing drug from Luo Zexu’s pocket and swallowed it without changing expression.
The so-called “gentle Second Male Lead” was truly a beast in human skin, carrying different heat-inducing drugs on him. No matter how frigid a Beta might be, more than three potent heat stimulants in a row were impossible to withstand.
Lu Chi let out a breath. For once, the corners of his eyes flushed red.
The red-haired Alpha stared at him unblinkingly, throat bobbing as he panted coldly: “Lu Chi, eating those now is useless.”
“My terminal records all my real-time physiological data. The academy and the Luo family will arrive any moment. Even if you go into heat on the spot, they won’t let you off easily.”
As soon as he finished speaking, mechanical aerial eyes and countless hovercrafts descended upon D Zone in an instant.
Lu Chi looked up. Amid the system’s anxious cries, he saw countless uniformed figures step out of the crafts. The academy enforcement team and members of the Luo family, cold firearms in hand, approached under the guidance of the Alphas, who had fled earlier.
Neon lights flickered.
Luo Zexu steadied his breathing and narrowed his fox-like eyes, regaining his gentle facade as he said, “Lu Chi, delete the video now and agree to be my private… pet, and I’ll let this go.”
“You’re just an orphaned Beta. You don’t want to know the consequences of offending the Luo family, and me…”
But before he could even finish his words, a massive, shrill roar tore through everything.
The mecha descended without restraint, whipping up violent winds. The enforcement team halted abruptly, staring ahead in shock, and Luo Zexu also turned sharply, his heat state forcibly disrupted by the ferocious Alpha pheromones.
The metal hatch opened.
Lu Chi lifted his eyes, not yet able to speak.
The black-haired, green-eyed Alpha had already leapt in front of him, pulling the Beta in heat into a crushing embrace, the force terrifyingly strong.
A broad coat blocked out his vision, and a familiar scent filled his lungs. Buried in the Alpha’s wide, dark embrace, Lu Chi sensed his right hand lift, viciously pressing the trigger of a laser gun.
Lin Jingsi actually intended to kill everyone present.
The system nearly short-circuited in terror, screaming: [Host, the main cast can’t die!!!]
Lu Chi immediately raised his hand and gripped the young Alpha’s forearm tightly, holding it down. The Alpha lowered his head, deep green eyes brimming with murderous intent.
“Let go.”
Killing these people would take him less than thirty seconds. Afterward, he would immediately take the Beta in his arms to the hospital.
Lu Chi blinked.
After a moment, the Beta in his arms suddenly leaned closer. The lips that had kissed him intimately hours ago brushed against the Alpha’s neck in a light kiss, but hidden beneath the coat, no one could see the movement.
Lin Jingsi stiffened. He felt Lu Chi’s deliberate, uneven breathing. A hand slid upward, lightly tightening around his lean waist.
“Lin Jingsi… my body feels awful…” the Beta whispered, “Take me away, okay?”
